Waterstraat History Books
Lots of good information of Waterstraat history, homesteading, daily living, etc.
Hi, Gary!
I will be mailing to you tomorrow (4-3-00) a parcel of 3 books: the Loup County Centennial Book, the Nunda, Valleyview, and Boiling Spring Too book, and the Garfield County Roundup Volume I (1967). Other excerpts I have shared with you are now out of print: the Kent book, which contains info. about the Garska family; and the Rock County Centennial Book. I may have sent stuff from the book called The Settlement of Loup & Blaine Counties by Colleen Switzer. It too is out of print. You are very generous. When more information becomes available, I will be sure to send and share. I'm getting closer to being out of school for the year and it is feeling very fine indeed. My summers are busy too, but it is more at my own pace and hours--and that reduces stress and makes it enjoyable. When you get the Roundup, the part you'll be interested in for the Waterstraats and Garskas is in the Rural Communities section, under BLAKE.
I hope to stay in contact and I hope you are able to come visit us down south one of these days soon.
With every best wish,
Kevin Brown Taylor, NE Skunk Holler USA
